Create as many databases as required with as many data fields as required in an easy to use database setup and maintenance screen. Field types such as plain text, rich text (HTML), numbers, radio buttons, check boxes and select lists can be included as can a number of content management system variables such as user, user group, page and page groups.
Manage Database Content
Add, edit and delete database entries. Add and edit database entries in an easy to use database entry screen. Rich text (HTML) fields can be edited in a WYSIWYG editor and radio button, checkbox and selectlist options are presented with options as specified in the database setup and maintenance screen.
Set up forms that enables website visitors to add content directly to databases. The forms can be within public areas of the website
or within restricted areas to enable only certain registered visitors to submit data to the databases.
The forms can contain field types such as HTML text areas, radio buttons, checkboxes and select lists.
For example you can set up advanced surveys or reservation forms and have the data added directly to a database.
Personalised Data Extraction
Provide user specific extractions from the database and present the extractions exactly as you want.
For example you can set up pages, that allow registered visitors to view their reservations or pupils to view their grades or you can set up pages with information for selected extranet partners.
If you are using the Database functionality in combination with the Small Business, Professional or Hosting you can also provide user
group extractions. For example this enables you to set up pages where pupils can view information about their classes.
Display Data in Restricted Areas
Display database content in restricted areas of your website so that only users who are logged in can view the database content.
For example you can make data available to intranet or extranet users only.
Database Access Restrictions
If you are using the Database functionality in combination with the Small Business, Professional or Hosting Edition you can add access restrictions to databases so that only certain administrator groups can add, view, update or delete the content of databases.
Import and Export of Data
Export database content for further processing in for example MS Excel or Word or import database content maintained in other external applications.
