Choose static filenames for your website pages to serve simpler URLs. For example if you are using PHP you can choose to use website addresses such as http://www.mywebsite.com/welcome.php instead of http://www.mywebsite.com/page.jsp/id=776?version=WCM. Additionally static URLs are search-engine friendly.

If your web server has URL rewriting capabilities you can turn on the use of search engine and log analysis friendly “static” web addresses such as “/page.jsp/id=1?version=WCM”.

As default the web addresses used by the system are dynamic (“/page.jsp?id=1”), and can be used with any standard web server software without special web server configuration.
