Asbru Web Content Management v8.0 released

• All administration pages use resizable/closable panels for the header, footer and left-hand menus. Click and drag the light-gray handles/bars below the header, above the footer and next to the left-hand menus to open/close and resize the panels.
  
  
• Login
  
  
• The login page has been cleaned up with no display of the toolbar sections until after login.
  
  
• All administration display the logged in username in the center of the header.
  
  
• Personal Workspace
  
  
• The Personal Workspace has default sections for "checked out", "updated unpublished", "new unpublished", "expired" and "workflow" content items.
  
  
• The Personal Workspace sections to be displayed and their order is customisable for all administrators (Configuration / Features / Content Editing / Index Pages / Personal Workspace Sections) and for individual administrators (User Database / Administrators / Administrator Preferences / Personal Workspace Sections). Configuration options can be used to define which sections to display and in which order.
  
  
• The Personal Workspace can also be customized to display usage statistics reports sections for all or individual administrators
  using the custom Usage Statistics reports codes as described below.
  
  
• Additional configuration options can also be used to define which data columns to be displayed for each content item.
  The Personal Workspace sections display the same content item data columns as configured for your Website Content for all

• The Browse & Edit mode has been changed to use toolbar drop-down menus for the editable content items/attributes as default instead of the previous black-box outlines. The editable content items/attributes can be edited and published directly in Browse & Edit mode through the Edit and Publish toolbar drop-down menu items; and Admin and Add New toolbar drop-down menu items can be used to open the full administration pages for the content items.
  
  
• The Outline toolbar drop-down menu items can be used to "black-box" and "white-box" the editable content items/attributes on the web page as used in previous versions of the web content management system.
  
  
• Website Structure
  
  
• The previous Website Structure administration pages have been completely replaced with a new Website Structure toolbar section and new dynamically unfolding page hierarchy functionality suitable for handling large websites - simply unfold the sections/pages to be reorganised and drag and drop the pages to update their page relations (when saved).
  
  
• If the micro-websites functionality is used there will also be left-hand menu items for the different micro-websites and their default pages.
  
  
• Website Content - Menus
  
  
• Additional website structure left-hand menu items for the default website as well as eventual micro-websites has been added. These can be used to unfold the general website structure to navigate to the pages to be updated etc. as an alternative to using the old (and still existing) content group/type etc. left-hand menu items.
